The seats are super duper cute! but we took a round dining table (more formal one) instead

Din take photos, cos all the "heads" were there.. haha!
    Anyway, we had the following:
玉参芙蓉干贝 “Fu Rong”(Fluffy Egg White)w/ Dried Scallop

香茅黒椒鸡扒 Chicken Chop Glazed in Lemongrass & Black Pepper Sauce

    时日药膳汤 Herbal Soup

    家乡焖伊面 ‘Home-Style’ E-Fu Noodle

玉鲍杏菇时蔬 Fried Seasonal Vegetables w/ Abalone Mushroom

桃仁宫保虾球 Sauté Chili Prawn w/ Walnuts

Yummilicious!!! OMG I almost melt just having the fu rong with dried scallop as appetiser, and after drinking tonic soup, I felt as if I am in heaven. After the lunch thingy, we had cake-cutting and mooncakes session! It's non-stop eat, eat and eat!

Last saturday was a day with Mr bear, going for lunch porridge buffet at Marina Square's Hot Pot Culture, followed by movie "G-Force", and we ended with a bang - KTV at Partyworld with his family! :D

I guess you can tell, i've been eating way too much :\

    Wishing for holidays...~

  • Transsexualism

Recently in the midst of work, I had some encounter with a transgender, and somehow, realised that there are a few friends who had such friends, and out of plain boredom, I found out more about this group of people - transgender.

I used to think that they were populating only in Korea and Thailand, but I was wrong. They are everywhere :) and I am not even aware of that -_-" and yes, they are pretty cool too! OMFG loads of them go under the knives for this... For MTF (male to female) and FTM (female to male) transitions, they are for their identity. For those females out there who undergo surgery (comestic), they are doing it for the sake of... beauty. Competition is everywhere la, so scary@@!

Which makes me wonder, will you go under the knife too?

An article in STRAP (Society of Transsexual Women of the Philippine) mentioned: "Transgenders are not gay men who think and feel they are women born in the wrong body. They are not, as stated by one so-called expert, merely people who suppress their sexuality for a very long time.

'Transgender' is a term that has emerged fairly recently and is used to describe anybody who feels their gender identity and expression is different to that which was assigned to them at birth (based only on the viewing of their genitalia). A transgender may be a woman or a man, and like any woman or man, they can be heterosexual, homosexual, or bisexual. Therefore, their sexuality is not their gender.

To clarify and emphasize this point, gender is who we are – it is ourselves, our person. Gender is not our body, not our genitals, not our clothes, not even our names, not our hormones and not our sexual preference."

To them, it is their way of expressing their own gender identity.

    Take for example, Donna Rose
She has no qualms of coming upright about her past and present sexuality, and the way that she is, she is confident and does not care about how others may look at her. (I have to admit, I can't really tell apart those really feminine trans... it's superb and some are even more prettier and feminine compared to 'born females')

Which reminded me of an ex who liked this Korean trans- Harisu (she married rap singer Micky Chung in 2007)

Can you even tell that she was once a boy?

    I don't think so... But...

    ya... there she is.

Choi Han Bit: the first Korean transgender to make it through Supermodel competition.

    You just can't tell right?

I did not really know much about this law, and colleagues were asking, so I checked it out and here it is! :) and to think we thought Singapore is a reserved country, but well, it's trying to open up, but in terms of gays and things, it is not opening up yet.

"Singapore has fairly enlightened laws about transsexualism and has allowed transsexuals - who have undergone SRS - to change their gender on their identity cards since the 1970s, and to marry since 1997. It also recognized the right of transsexuals to marry in their reassigned sex."

I guess at the end of the day, as long as you are comfortable with yourself and you can identify yourself as who you are, that's all it matters. So long as you are happy with what and who you are :)
